Graeme and Michelle Younger
KSR Managers
The KSR Managers, Graeme and Michelle, live on-site with their two children, Annabelle and Billy, and their mischief making dogs, Roger and Rosie. Graeme is a qualified teacher who previously worked for Christian College Geelong working with Year 9 students on their rural campus outside of Ballarat. Michelle has worked for the NDIS in management, and now works 2 days/week for Kew Baptist Church in a Youth and Children’s role, in addition to her role at KSR.
Graeme and Michelle are regular at the evening meal and are available to students for a chat, and to hear about what is going on in their lives. They are responsible for the leadership and management of the Res. This means a lot of administrative work as well as oversight of the wellbeing of all residents and the overall community. The Managers are also responsible for liaising with parents and the Church, staffing, maintenance and financial.

Office Administrator
Harrison Schultz
Harrison Schultz is our Administration Officer for 2026. Harrison can be found in the KSR front office on Monday and Thursday.
Harrison attended Kew Student Residence in 2022-23, and has since been an active member of the KSR community. He recently graduated from his Bachelor of Business Management degree at Swinburne University of Technology and aspires for a career in sustainability management.
In his spare time, Harrison enjoys running, developing his musical skills and watching films.
Kitchen Coordinator aka 'Cook'
Samson Gill
Samson Gill is our Chef for 2026. Samson can be found anywhere near the KSR kitchen from Monday to Friday.
Samson moved to Australia from Pakistan in 2022 to study commercial cookery, completing his degree in February 2025. He has been in the hospitality industry for the last 2 years, working at various cafes and restaurants around Melbourne.
In his spare time, Samson enjoys playing video games, reading and doing volunteer work.

Residential Life Coordinators
Abigail Simcoe & Cody Shipp
Taking care of community life and assisting with pastoral care are our 2026 Residential Life Coordinators: Abigail Simcoe and Cody Shipp. Abi is embarking on her 2nd year of living in ‘The Flat’. Meanwhile, Cody is commencing his 1st year in the Flat, and is a past student at the Res and active member of the Kew Baptist community.
The RLC’s are responsible for organising activities and having a positive presence around the place. Our RLC’s our outstanding young leaders and work closely with the Res student leaders. Our RLCs are here to help the students settle into life in Melbourne and are available should you have any questions or concerns.

Staff
Residential Advisors (RA's)
Further support in terms of pastoral care and community life is provided by a team of young adults who live in a neighbouring house. Our Residential Advisors are people who have either lived in the Res in the past or are actively involved in the Church community at Kew Baptist.
Returning for a second year in 2026 are Jonny Martin and Sam Stone, who will be joined by our new RA’s Jessica Gillies, Emma Turner and Josiah Keam, with the intention of serving the Residence and Church communities.

STUDENT LEADERS
Our student leaders are integral to life at the Res.
Having lived here for at least one year already, they are well-positioned to help new students adjust to their new life in Melbourne. You'll often find them around, facilitating events and social activities. Their role at Res is to foster a welcoming, supportive community for everyone. But more than this, Student Leaders provide leadership to the entire student body.
Student Leaders are selected because they are people who are respected by their peers, involve themselves fully in the life of the community, are willing to help out where needed and are trustworthy. Our Student Leaders for 2026 are Max Marshall, Noah Greene, Ruth Tucker and Eliza Paech.
DUTY MANAGERS
The role of the Duty Manager is to oversee the practical functioning of the Residence. They have allocated times and days when they are in charge of duties and are first port of call for issues that may arise around KSR. If they can't help you, they can definitely refer you to someone who can! Among their responsibilities at Res, they lead the dinner duties and are on call until "lock up" at the end of the night.
It's really important that you respond to any requests made by a Duty Manager and remember that leading your peers in this way is never easy - so please don't make life difficult for them.
We are excited to introduce our five Duty Managers for 2026 are Caleb Zanker, Faith McDonald, Jordan Gosbell, Ashley Hanrahan and Eloise Black.
